The Akron History Center is located in the Bowery, at 172 South Main Street, on King James Way. It is three doors north of the Akron Civic Theatre.
Downtown parking spaces are free after 6 p.m. on weekdays, and all day on weekends.
Meters
There are metered spaces along South Main Street, Bowery Street, Quaker Street and Church Street. Some take coins. Other meters have pay stations that accept credit cards, bills, and coins.

Decks
The Cascade Parking Deck
10 West Mill Street
Use the up-ramp to Level 2. Drive straight ahead to the glass doors that exit onto Lock 4. The Akron History Center entrance is three buildings south, towards Lock 3.
The Summit County Parking Garage
200 South High Street
Take the ramps to the right and follow the directional signs to the bottom level. Follow the signs to the Main Street lobby. The Akron History Center is directly across the street.
The Citicenter Parking Garage
132 S. High Street
Park on the upper level 2 and enter the skywalk lobby. Take the elevator in Main Place to the lobby and exit onto Main Street. The Akron History Center is one block south on the opposite side of the street.
The State Street Parking Deck
52 West State Street
The State Street Deck has 600 spaces. Use the elevators to exit at the Lock 3 level and walk north to the Akron History Center.
